“The maitre d'” 12" x 9" original ink-wash painting on Strathmore paper, depicts a dapper gentleman in bowtie and tails, looking off in the distance at something of interest. It is gesturally painted with deliberate yet spontaneous brushstrokes. The grey tones soften and enhance the overall composition.
